Tornado Relief

Its no secret all of the devastation thats taken place in our country lately. The weather has been just crazy. But thru it all God knows each hurt and pain. So i felt like i should write a song and record it to help others. Two tornados swept thru Spalding Co. where my home town of Griffin is located. So my wife and my goods friends at www.beremedy.org blake and amy came down and we went around ministering to peoples needs. At the time they needed food, water, and clothes. now the focus is getting their homes back. Many didnt have insurance and lost it all.

One lady in particular touched us more than we felt like we did her. Ms Jerri was living in her shed when we pulled up in her yard. all she had was her 3 dogs, shed, and some food people had brought her. Her husband had passed the year before. The pic is where her home was. She told us her story.

Around midnight she was watching the weather on tv and she saw a storm cell about 30 miles away. She told us she knew it was coming right for her. She had a feeling in her heart. So they said on the news not to get in the bathtub for protection. They used to tell you to do that she said. So about 5 minutes later her power went out. And it got quiet. Then the wind picked up and she knew it was coming. So she got under her kitchen table with her dogs. She said the floor began to pull up over her head and her front door was now where her ceiling was. She remembered that the weather man had said get pillows and cover your head. At that moment the reached her hand out and felt something wet hit her in the hand. She grabbed it and it was her pillow. She wrapped it around her head. Then she felt the stove fall on her legs. She said it hurt so badly. I cant imagine. Oh and her bathtub was 50 feet up in a tree.

It's over. She opens her eyes and looks around in the dark. she takes her cell phone out of her pocket. Its drenched. But working. What cell phone does that right? She used it for light. As her eyes are adjusting she see's that all that's left is her and the stove. Her mobile home is completely gone. She told me that she knew God sent her pillow, and the stove to protect her. THATS GOD, she said.

She then told Blake and I how God had been sending her Angels along the way. And she felt like we were angels. We both just felt God's presence was there with her on the property.
